Famous Four Mile Beach is just a short walk from the holiday house. This glorious stretch of golden sand is actually 4-kilometres long. At the northern end of Four Mile Beach is Port Douglas town, while at the southern end the mangroves nurture sea-life.

Port Douglas is a cosmopolitan yet relaxed seaside village. Its main thoroughfare is Macrossan Street which is lined with cafes and restaurants, as well as art galleries and chic boutiques. Also, there are iconic Queensland pubs – many of which have live music at night.

Port Douglas town is also the place to go for visitor information, local car hire and tour bookings. Port Douglas town is 5km from Le Palmier.
